Planning a Quick, Easy, and Fun Halloween Party for Kids
When witches go riding,
and black cats are seen,
the moon laughs and whispers,
‘tis near Halloween.
Greetings, Ghosts and Ghouls! Halloween just isn’t Halloween without having something devilishly fun planned for the little goblins. Today I shall provide the ingredients to a bewitching cauldron of tips to help you plan a delightfully frightful Halloween party that will have your little guests howling at the moon with glee.
Halloween parties for kids can be planned in a relatively short period of time and with a limited budget. Imagination and creativity will make up for any economical hurdles you may encounter.
Decor – No matter how big or small the venue is, utilize as much space as possible. Cobwebs, fake spiders, skulls, pumpkins, and witches all make great decor. Streamers, wall and window cutouts, and balloons are traditional, but they still get the job done. Layer colors and use fake candle light…we don’t need little Johnny setting any fires.
Games & Entertainment – There are literally dozens of games for little ones to play in celebration of Halloween. (Check out this website for some cool games: http:// www.pumpkinnook.com/hween/games.htm or google other ideas). Depending upon the age group, you can set up a haunted house or graveyard. Hire kid-friendly actors dressed a Halloween figures. Face painters, magicians, and even professional story- tellers are all awesome forms of entertaining.
Food & Beverage – Hire a caterer that has the capability of creating spooky treats for kids. The candy will have them amped up enough, so try to include some nutritious menu items. I’ve even seen where a caterer prepared a green punch with a frozen hand made of pureed fruit keeping the punch cold and adding a creepy feel and the kids loved it!
Goody Bags & Prizes – Kids live and die for goody bags and prizes. You can fill the bags with more than just candy, they can be filled with tasty, Halloween-themed treats as well. Purchase a pinata or two; they are a way to make sure all of the kids get a prize.
Now crawl out of your dampened crypt, dust your bones off, and start planning that ghostly gathering that all the undead will envy!
As always WE would like to wish you the best in all that you do! If you have questions or comments please feel free to post them below or shoot me an email.
